> WhatsApp AI chatbots for restaurants, cafés and home bakeries compared: which ones take a complete order with sizes, add-ons, delivery and payment, and what they cost.

Taking a food order on WhatsApp is harder than answering "What time do you close?". A real order has items with sizes and add-ons, a note ("less sugar", "message on the cake"), pickup or delivery with an address and fee, a time, a total, a payment, and then status updates until it's done. Most WhatsApp chatbots stop at the menu PDF.

Here are the tools a restaurant, café or home bakery is likely to compare, what each one does with an order, and the published price of the plan you would need. Prices were read on each provider's pricing page on 3 November 2026 and exclude GST unless noted.

## 1. Agent24

Built around the order rather than the campaign. The menu lives in the product: categories with serving windows, dishes with veg mark and spice level, photos, sizes, add-ons and sold-out switches. Guests order from a QR menu at the table, from a takeaway or delivery link, or by chatting on WhatsApp or the website; the agent takes the items, asks what's missing, quotes the total and sends a payment link from your own Razorpay or Stripe account if you want to be paid first. Orders go to a live board or kitchen screen, and the customer gets a WhatsApp update at each step. Home bakeries use the simpler Products orders with a daily limit, notice hours and a note per item.

- **Orders:** complete, with sizes, add-ons, notes, pickup or delivery and a time. See [Restaurant menu, tables and QR ordering](https://agent24.in/docs/restaurant-menu) and [Products, stock and orders](https://agent24.in/docs/products-orders).
- **Tables:** QR per table, one bill per table with service charge and tip, split bills.
- **Price:** Free on your website, web chat and QR menu (500 AI replies a month); Pro adds your WhatsApp number. Per business, taxes included, no fee per message. See the [pricing page](https://agent24.in/pricing).
- **Not for:** bulk promotions to your customer list, or replacing a full POS with inventory accounting.

## 2. Interakt

Interakt's Growth plan (₹7,699 a quarter plus taxes, about ₹2,570 a month) is the most order-aware of the general tools: it includes a WhatsApp catalog, a WhatsApp checkout bot, an order management panel and WhatsApp Pay, plus a linear chatbot builder. The catalog is Meta's product catalog, so it suits fixed items more than dishes with many options, and the AI agents are sold separately.

**Good for:** a cloud kitchen or sweet shop with a fixed list of products and a Shopify or Razorpay setup.

## 3. Gallabox

A WhatsApp inbox and AI platform. Catalog and payments and chatbot flows are on the Basic plan (₹2,399 a month billed annually, 3 users) but the AI agent there is on the website widget; AI agents on WhatsApp start with Essential at ₹5,599 a month billed annually. There is no menu or kitchen view; orders are flows you build and hand to the team. WhatsApp conversation fees are billed separately.

**Good for:** a café group with a team answering a shared inbox that wants AI for questions and flows for simple orders.

## 4. WATI

Growth is ₹2,699 a month billed quarterly with catalogs, chatbots and the Astra AI agent builder; Pro at ₹5,799 a month includes 2 Astra AI agents and 5,000 AI credits. Shopify sales need a $4.99 a month add-on. Like Gallabox, there is no restaurant menu or table concept; you build the order flow.

**Good for:** a bakery selling through a Shopify store that wants WhatsApp order updates and AI answers.

## 5. AiSensy

Basic is ₹1,500 a month for broadcasting and the inbox. The Chatbot Flows add-on (₹2,500 a month) adds cart management and catalog sharing, and the AI Chat Agent add-on is ₹1,350 a month for 1,000 AI messages, so AI plus carts is ₹5,350 a month. Meta's rates are passed on.

**Good for:** a restaurant whose main need is sending daily specials and offers to its customer list.

## What to test before you pay

Send these yourself in the demo:

1. "Menu please." You should get today's items with prices, not a PDF from last year.
2. Order two dishes, one in a larger size with an add-on, and add a note. The summary must show all of it.
3. Ask for delivery to your area. The fee and the earliest time should appear.
4. Change one item. The total must update.
5. Pay. If you want to be paid first, a link should arrive and the order should confirm when paid.
6. Watch where the order lands for the kitchen, and whether the customer is told when it's ready.

If a step is "the team does that by hand", count the staff time as part of the price.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which WhatsApp chatbot takes a complete restaurant order?

Agent24 takes items with sizes, add-ons and notes, pickup or delivery with fee and time, a payment, and sends status updates, with the menu and kitchen board built in. Interakt's Growth plan has a WhatsApp checkout bot and order panel on Meta's catalog. Gallabox, WATI and AiSensy take orders through chatbot flows you build.

### Can customers order at the table with a QR code?

In Agent24, each table has its own QR; the first order opens the table, every order joins the one bill, and the bill can be split. The other tools on this list are WhatsApp inbox products without a table concept.

### How much does a WhatsApp ordering bot cost for a café in India?

The plans with an AI agent on WhatsApp here run from about ₹2,700 a month billed quarterly to ₹5,599 a month billed annually, with AI add-ons taking AiSensy to ₹5,350 a month, before GST and Meta's message charges. Agent24's price is on its pricing page, per business, taxes included; the QR menu and web chat are free.

### Do I need a POS as well?

For a small café or home bakery, Agent24's orders, tables and bills are usually enough; it prints kitchen tickets and bills to ESC/POS printers. A larger restaurant with stock accounting and staff shifts still needs its POS, and the WhatsApp tool sits in front of it.
